Since its inception in 2005, through the grace of Allah Ta’alapplications of the pious & sincere Al-Huda Academy has grown from humble beginnings to become a cornerstone of Islamic knowledge and guidance in our community, transforming lives and nurturing the next generation of Muslims. Alhamdulillah, with Allah’s mercy, we have achieved significant milestones:

Key Milestones and Achievements:

• 2005 – Established Al-Huda Academy
• 2006 – Witnessed our first shahada (reversion to Islam) and launched the weekly Qur’anic Dars in English, progressing through 11 Juz to date
• 2007 – Acquired a two-bedroom house, marking our first property expansion; held our inaugural Annual Seerah Conference
• 2008 – Purchased the Halliwell Labour Club, our Hennon Street site
• 2009 – Started our first Hifz and Further Education classes
• 2010 – Established Little Gems Nursery for early childhood tarbiyyah
• 2011 – Introduced our Reception Class for foundational Islamic education
• 2012 – Launched the Al-Huda Independent Islamic Primary School
• 2013 – Acquired the Former Lilian Hamer House on Deane Road for further expansion
• 2014 – Started Full-Time Over 16s Boys Boarding Darul-Uloom
• 2018 – Held the 10th Annual Seerah Conference, a key event for community engagement and learning hosting above 1000 attendees Alhamdulillah.
• 2022 – Honoured as “Highly Commended” at the British Muslim Awards
• 2023 – Celebrated the 19th shahada at our Academy
• 2024 – Achieved “Outstanding” in 3 categories in our Ofsted inspection

• Adult Sisters’ Qur’an Class for lifelong learning (ages 16+)

Today, Al-Huda Academy serves as a vital resource for the Bolton community, providing essential Islamic education to children and adults alike. Our graduates serve as Imams and maktab teachers across Bolton and beyond, spreading knowledge and faith, and keeping our community connected to Islamic values.

However, we now face a critical challenge. Al-Huda Academy has an outstanding debt of only £175,421 from a total of £1,100.000, which we aim to clear over the next 2 years, inshaAllah. To achieve this, we humbly ask for your support. By setting up a small, regular monthly contribution, you can help secure the Academy’s future and allow it to continue serving the community.
